I began dancing at the age of four, at the Lesley Reason School of Dance in Nottingham, where I gained my I.S.T.D.
and I.D.T.A. in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Acrobatics. During this time I also studied at the Nora Morrison
School of Dance in Nottingham where I received my Royal Ballet R.A.D. qualifications. As part of my training I
have performed in many pantomimes in venues such as the Theatre Royal and the Nottingham Playhouse and have
appeared in numerous television shows.
After leaving school I attended the Laine Theatre Arts Stage School in London where I studied a three year vocational
course in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Singing , Choreography and also gained my teaching qualifications.
After successfully completing my training, I went on to tour for four years extensively throughout Italy, Denmark,
Norway, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and Malaysia.
I returned to the UK and formed a duo named ‘High Voltage’ which we toured nationally with. I then joined a trio
‘Blush’ as a dancer and backing vocalist and toured throughout the UK. I was then appointed Lead Dancer and Choreographer at the American Adventure Theme Park in Derbyshire where I remained for seven years.
Pop Divas was established in 2001 with myself and Karen Gozzard. The school was highly successful and ran for eight year in Ilkeston and Arnold.
Dance Divaz was established in 2010 with classes running in Ilkeston, Bestwood Village (Arnold) and Sutton in Ashfield, we offer the coolest selection of choreographed dance moves to all the latest funky chart hits. We all workout in style every week and dance just for fun! Classes range from the age of three up to adults.
As the dance school has grown this has enabled me to become a freelance teacher of dance in the community, visiting several schools for after school dance clubs and also helping to choreograph school productions.
